About Us
A History of Excellence PressCom was
founded in 1982 as a contract engineering services firm and
transitioned to printed circuit board technology in 1986. In
1992, the company expanded into electronic manufacturing
services. PressCom implemented advanced automated
manufacturing and inspection in 2003.In 2007, the company
achieved registration to the ISO 9001:2001 quality standard
and to the AS9100:2004 B standard, which provides stringent
quality management system criteria critical to the aerospace
industry.
Experienced, Dedicated Employees Today
the company has 25 employees with average experience of 18
years and average tenure with the company of nine years. They
are employed in the following areas:
- Quality and engineering
- Supply chain and inventory control
- Manufacturing and scheduling
- Administration
Facilities and Advanced Equipment Our
Mesa, Arizona, facility offers 12,000 square feet of office
and manufacturing space with the capability to expand if
needed. The facility houses a wide array of advanced
manufacturing equipment, including:
- 2 DEK stencil printers
- 3 surface-mount technology (SMT) pick-and-place machines
- Higher rate SMT with .005 capability
- Seven-zone and six-zone reflow ovens with profiler
- Vi3000 automated optical inspection (AOI)
- “Flying probe” with AOI testing
- X-ray machine
- Fine pitch and ball grid array workstations
- 20 ESD workstations
In addition, PressCom relies on advanced systems to assist
with real-time inventory tracking and control. Our consumable
tracking system ensures accurate tracking of consumables and,
more importantly, ensures accurate shelve life.
A part kits program is used on all board builds. This
enables the entire kit to be prepared prior to production,
which reduces cycle time and improves
quality. |
